✅ Full Product Description
The MAXAIR hydronic high-velocity air handler is a compact fan coil unit designed to deliver ducted heating using hot water from a boiler while supporting central air conditioning integration. Commonly used in hydro-air and high-velocity HVAC systems, this air handler provides efficient air distribution in homes where traditional duct systems are limited or space-constrained.
Unlike furnaces, MAXAIR air handlers do not generate heat directly. Instead, they use heated water supplied by a boiler circulating through an internal hydronic coil. The ECM variable-speed blower then distributes warm air through high-velocity ductwork, providing consistent and comfortable heating throughout the home. This configuration combines the efficiency of hydronic heating with the air distribution advantages of ducted HVAC.
MAXAIR high-velocity air handlers are especially suitable for:
-
Boiler-based hydro-air heating systems
-
High-velocity small-duct installations
-
Custom homes and renovations
-
Homes without space for large ducts
-
Combined boiler heating and AC cooling
-
Zoned airflow comfort systems
The integrated ECM motor provides continuous low-energy air circulation, improving temperature stability, filtration effectiveness, and indoor air quality while reducing electrical consumption compared to conventional PSC blower motors. This allows quiet operation and stable airflow even during continuous fan operation.
These hydronic air handlers can also incorporate an evaporator coil for central air conditioning, allowing one duct system to provide both heating from the boiler and cooling from an air conditioner or heat pump. This makes MAXAIR units a flexible solution for Ontario homes requiring compact ducted HVAC with hydronic heat.
Bison Air installs MAXAIR hydronic air handlers across Toronto and the GTA, selecting model capacity and airflow configuration based on duct design, heating load, and boiler compatibility to ensure efficient hydro-air system performance.

✅ Installation & System Requirements (important clarity)
Hydronic air handlers require a boiler heat source and do not operate as standalone heaters.
Proper system sizing depends on boiler capacity, duct design, and airflow requirements.
Standard installation is included. Final installation scope may vary depending on electrical, duct, or mechanical conditions.
Professional Installation Across Toronto & GTA
Bison Air installs MAXAIR hydronic air handler systems across Toronto and surrounding GTA communities including Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Aurora, Newmarket, and North York. Each installation is configured for proper boiler compatibility, airflow design, and high-velocity duct integration to ensure reliable hydro-air system performance.
