Proper sizing requires a Manual J load calculation. Oversizing and undersizing both reduce efficiency and comfort. Contact Bison Air for a proper assessment before ordering.
The PVA indoor air handler installs in upflow, downflow, or horizontal orientation. The PUZ-AK outdoor unit must be elevated a minimum of 18" off grade or roof to ensure proper wintertime defrost cycle operation.
Auxiliary electric heaters are not included in the system price and are quoted separately based on the indoor unit size. Field-installed electric heat kits for supplemental heating backup. All require 240V/1/60. Must be specified and ordered separately at time of unit purchase — contact Bison Air for a quote. Electric Heaters include Single Point Termination Kit. SPTB1 Terminal Block Kit required when connecting to electric backup heat.
