The Bosch Climate 5000 Single Zone 1-Way Cassette Heat Pump delivers efficient year-round heating and cooling from a ceiling-recessed indoor unit that discharges conditioned air in one direction along a wall or corridor. Unlike wall-mount systems that sit visibly on your wall, the 1-way cassette unit sits flush with your ceiling — only the slim panel face is visible — making it an ideal choice for commercial spaces, offices, server rooms, hallways, and any application where wall space is limited or a ceiling-mounted presentation is preferred.
Running on next-generation R454B refrigerant, the system delivers reliable heating down to -25°C (-13°F) with up to 22.2 SEER2 cooling efficiency and 9.0 HSPF2 heating efficiency.

What Is a 1-Way Cassette Heat Pump?
A 1-way cassette is a ceiling-recessed indoor unit that mounts flush inside a dropped ceiling grid and distributes conditioned air through a single discharge outlet on one side of the unit. This makes it ideal for directing airflow along a wall, down a corridor, or across a long narrow space.
Compared to other indoor unit types in the Bosch Climate 5000 lineup:
- The wall-mount IDU mounts visibly on an interior wall and conditions the room directly — no ceiling work required
- The ducted IDU is fully concealed inside a ceiling cavity and distributes air through duct runs and grilles
- The 1-way cassette IDU sits recessed in a ceiling grid with only a slim panel face visible, discharging air in one controlled direction
- The 4-way cassette IDU sits recessed in a ceiling and discharges air in all four directions for central room coverage
The 1-way cassette is the right choice when you need ceiling installation with directional airflow — particularly in narrow rooms, corridors, server rooms, or commercial spaces along a single wall exposure.
What's Included – System Components
This is a complete single zone heat pump system consisting of one outdoor condenser unit (ODU) and one ceiling-recessed 1-way cassette indoor unit (IDU), connected by a refrigerant line set. Both components are factory-matched for optimal efficiency and performance.
- Outdoor Condenser Unit (ODU) — the main heat pump unit installed on an exterior wall bracket or ground pad outside your home or building
- 1-Way Cassette Indoor Unit (IDU) — ceiling-recessed unit (50.31" x 13.19" x 8.98") that mounts flush in a dropped ceiling and discharges air in one direction
- Refrigerant line set connecting both units (standard length included with installation)
