Here is some info about the unit :

If you're looking for an efficient way to both heat and cool your home in a cold climate, a cold climate heat pump might be the way to go. These systems are designed to work in temperatures as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit or -30 degrees Celsius and deliver reliable, consistent performance. However, it's important to remember that even the most efficient heat pump still needs a backup heating source for those really cold days. By having a backup heating system in place, you can ensure that your home stays warm and comfortable all winter long, no matter how cold it gets outside.
There are two options for backup heat:
1- Hybrid system: uses a gas furnace.
2-Fully electric system: with an electric heater.
Both options are reliable and effective, so it's up to you to decide which one is best for your home.

 Hybrid system information :

One option to consider is a hybrid system, which includes a high-efficiency cold climate heat pump, a high-efficiency furnace, a device that switches between electricity and gas for heating mode, and a thermostat. This system uses a combination of gas and electrical energy for heating mode, resulting in energy savings and a more environmentally friendly system.

The Hybrid system Consists of the following:

1.    High-efficiency Cold Climate Heat pump UP To 25 SEER (that gives you heat and cool)
2.    High-efficiency Furnace as a backup heat UP To 96.5%
3.    A device that acts like the brain of the system and switches between electricity and gas for heating mode
4.    Thermostat

Since this unit used a combination of gas and electrical energy for heating mode:
1.    You will be able to save on energy bills
2.    less exhaust, so an environmentally friendly system.

 Fully Electric System information :

Alternatively, you may opt for a fully electric system, which includes a high-efficiency cold climate heat pump, fan coil, electric heater as backup heat, and a thermostat. This system uses only electrical energy for heating mode, resulting in even more energy savings and no exhaust emissions.

The Fully electric system Consists of the following:

  1.  High-efficiency Cold Climate Heat pump UP To 25 SEER (that gives you heat and cool)
    2.    Fan Coil
    3.    Electric Heater as a backup heat
    4.    Thermostat

Since this unit used electrical energy for heating mode:
1.    You will be able to save on energy bills
2.    No exhaust at all, so an environmentally friendly system.
