The Bosch Climate 5000 MAX Performance Single Zone 4-Way Cassette Heat Pump is the highest-performing ceiling-recessed cassette system in the Bosch Climate 5000 ductless lineup. The indoor unit mounts flush inside a dropped ceiling tile grid and distributes conditioned air equally in all four directions, while the MAX Performance outdoor condenser delivers reliable heating down to -30°C (-22°F) — making it the right choice for open-plan spaces in any part of the GTA, including colder areas north of the city.
With up to 22.6 SEER2 cooling efficiency and 9.5 HSPF2 heating efficiency, this system outperforms the Regular 4-Way Cassette model on both fronts. Running on next-generation R454B refrigerant, it is future-proofed for upcoming environmental regulations while delivering Bosch's proven 10-year compressor warranty and whisper-quiet operation.

MAX Performance vs Regular – What's the Difference?
Both models use the identical 4-way cassette indoor unit (IDU). The difference is entirely in the outdoor condenser unit (ODU). The MAX Performance ODU delivers:
- Deeper cold climate heating — down to -30°C (-22°F) vs -25°C (-13°F) on the Regular
- Higher SEER2 — up to 22.6 vs 22.0 on the Regular, meaning lower cooling costs
- Higher HSPF2 — up to 9.5 vs 8.8 on the Regular, meaning lower seasonal heating costs
- Stronger heating output at extreme temperatures — maintains higher BTU delivery as temperatures drop below -20°C

What Is a 4-Way Cassette Heat Pump?
A 4-way cassette is a ceiling-recessed indoor unit that mounts flush inside a dropped ceiling tile grid and distributes conditioned air simultaneously through four discharge outlets — one on each side — providing even, 360° airflow coverage from a single central ceiling point. Only the decorative grille panel is visible from below.
The 4-way cassette is the right choice for:
- Square or open-plan offices requiring even temperature distribution across the full floor area
- Retail spaces, meeting rooms, and showrooms where central ceiling conditioning is preferred
- Open-concept residential areas where wall space cannot accommodate a wall-mount unit
- Any space where 360° airflow from a single ceiling point provides better coverage than directional discharge

This is a complete single zone heat pump system consisting of one outdoor condenser unit (ODU) and one ceiling-recessed 4-way cassette indoor unit (IDU), connected by a refrigerant line set. Both components are factory-matched for optimal efficiency and performance.
