Historical Rebates and Programs

The Canada Greener Homes Initiative has played a pivotal role in promoting energy-efficient home upgrades across the country. Initially, homeowners could receive a grant of up to $5,000 to make their homes greener. In addition, the Canadian government introduced an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 to support extensive home renovations aimed at improving energy efficiency.

In 2023, Enbridge Gas enhanced their rebate program, offering an additional $5,000 for upgrades, bringing the total rebate potential to $10,000. However, as of February 2024, both the Canada Greener Homes Grant and the Enbridge Gas enhanced rebate stopped accepting new applicants.

New Rebates and Loans for 2024

Although the previous programs have ended, new opportunities have emerged to help you upgrade your home:
